Ingredients

Banana

The silica in bananas eases frizz, antioxidants stimulate hair growth and follicles while potassium strengthens and thickens fine hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar

A well-known ingredient for improving hair and scalp health, AVC removes the buildup that causes locks go dull, regulates scalp pH and adds shine.

Honey

A natural humectant, honey helps seal in moisture which is why it’s a common ingredient in conditioners. The numerous proteins, minerals, amino acids and vitamins it contains also help prevent hair loss, breakage and stimulate cell growth.

Recipe

Quantities for one medium length hair mask, double for long hair

1 mashed banana

1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

1 tbsp honey

Mix all ingredients until smooth and apply to damp hair and scalp. Let sit for 30 minutes. Wash out with your usual shampoo, rinse thoroughly and comb out any last remnants of banana.

The recipe is best fresh as bananas oxidize, use once a week.
