DIY Bridesmaid Proposal Scratch Cards

Bridesmaid-scratch-card-main.jpg

When a friend and colleague of mine got engaged, she asked if I could help her design some scratch off “Will you be my bridesmaid?” to send via snail mail (because who doesn’t enjoy finding something other than bills in the mailbox?!)

To be honest, kinda jealous I hadn’t thought of doing something like this for my own wedding, especially since they came out so beautifully... plus I’m in love with these scratch-off stickers, so much DIY potential!

Material:

Card stock or photo paper (around 120-180 gsm)

Printer

Scissors

Scratch-off sticker paper

A base about 3.5cm wide (I used a cap from a spice dispenser)

If you’re handy with a computer, insert your photo digitally then print out on card stock or photo paper

If inserting your photo digitally seems intimidating, just print out your photo separately, cut to size (2.5x2.5in or 6.5x6.5cm) & paste

Step 2

Using the cap as a base (I found the cap of standard spice dispensers to be just the right size about 1 1/3 inch or 3.5cm) trace as many circles as needed on the back side of the scratch-off sticker paper, then cut out.

For my fellow Dubai friends, I found scratch off stickers on desert cart, these seem to be the cheapest option (beware: the precut circles are too small!)

Step 3

Peel the backing off the stickers and place on your cards, matching up the edges with the dotted line
